Joe Rudko (b. 1990) is an artist working primarily with photographs. His works in collage and drawing reconfigure found snapshots, making new forms and encouraging viewers to reconsider their relationship with the everyday.
Rudko’s work has been exhibited widely in the United States, including solo exhibitions at PDX Contemporary Art (Portland), Greg Kucera Gallery (Seattle), Von Lintel Gallery (LA), and Davidson Gallery (NYC). Group exhibitions include the Getty Museum (LA), Morgan Library & Museum (NYC), Portland Art Museum (OR), and Winston Wachter Fine Art (Seattle). He has participated in residencies at the Wassaic Project, Iris Project, and Vermont Studio Center. He has been reviewed in Artforum, Art in America, Juxtapoz, Musee Magazine, and Artillery Magazine, among many others. His work can be found in the collections of The Getty Museum, Portland Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and most recently, the Morgan Library & Museum in New York City.
