Joe Rudko (b. 1990, Everett, WA) is an artist known for his intricate found photo collages that reconfigure images through experimental drawing, assemblage, and analog retouching techniques. He received his BFA in Photography and Drawing from Western Washington University and has exhibited widely in the United States, including solo exhibitions at PDX Contemporary Art in Portland, Greg Kucera Gallery in Seattle, Von Lintel Gallery in Los Angeles, and Davidson Gallery in NYC. Rudko’s work has been reviewed in Artforum, Art in America, Juxtapoz, Lenscratch, The Seattle Times, The Stranger, and Artillery Magazine. His work can be found in the permanent collections of The Getty Museum, Portland Art Museum, Tacoma Art Museum, Museum of Fine Arts Houston, and most recently, the Morgan Library & Museum in NYC. He has been an artist in residence at the Wassaic Project, Iris Project, Photographic Center Northwest, and Vermont Studio Center and will attend Willapa Bay AIR in 2025. Rudko has a studio in Seattle, where he continues to develop his practice through a hybrid approach to photography and abstraction.
